As our company operates with a CTP imaging system, the conditions for file submission are as follows:
Files should always be prepared from PostScript using Acrobat Distiller, submitted as composite PDF files, in version 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4.
- If the file contains Pantone colours, it must still be submitted as a composite PDF (not colour-separated). The PDF should be created in Acrobat Distiller using the Press Quality setting or the Druk-ker Kft. job options. These job options are available for download on our website. The printing house accepts files in the ISO Coated v2 (ECI) colour profile, which is also available on our website. If files are submitted in a different colour profile, colour deviations may occur during printing.Black elements should be set to overprint where they are printed over other colours.
We do not accept PDFs saved directly from CorelDRAW, Illustrator or InDesign. For four-colour jobs, please ensure that no spot colours remain in the file.
If bleed is required, it should be set to 3–5 mm.
Folding marks, creasing marks, die lines and perforation marks must be added to the artwork as vector elements or placed on a separate layer/page. If included in the artwork, they should be set to overprint. Die lines must always be provided as outlines; filled shapes cannot be accepted.
For transparent vinyl, please include the white underprint file.
If a white underprint file is provided, it should be reduced by 0.2 mm.
For spot varnish, please include the varnish artwork as a separate file.
For clear labels, the artwork should be mirrored if it is to be read from the adhesive side.
For large files, please send the materials using a file transfer service (e.g. WeTransfer). Files up to 10 MB can also be submitted via email.
Flexo
Preferred submission format:
Composite PDF (CMYK/Spot)
Secondary (open, “editable”) formats:
(CMYK/Spot)
Illustrator, InDesign, Corel, Photoshop
If you are submitting an open file, please do not forget to include the linked files, fonts and, where possible, a version in which the text has been converted to outlines. When submitting an open file, please also include a preview (e.g. a JPG) for checking purposes.
Shrink Sleeve (Sleeve Film):
For potential distortion adjustments, please provide a layered file in which graphic elements remain separately editable; avoid flattening layers and objects. Size and other technical parameters:
The size must be clearly identifiable (trimbox, die line or crop marks).
No additional markers are required (e.g. registration or calibration marks).
Bleed: 2 mm
Die line indication:
marked in a separate spot colour, optionally on a separate page or in a separate file
White underprint, varnish:
marked in a separate spot colour, optionally on a separate page or in a separate file.
(If the required elements are clearly specified, we will prepare the white underprint / varnish). Other technical elements (foil stamping, embossing):
marked in a separate spot colour, optionally on a separate page or in a separate file.
Quality requirements / recommendations:
Resolution of raster elements:
minimum 300 ppi; bitmap (1-bit) minimum 1200 ppi
Minimum reproducible dot size: 1%
Recommended line thicknesses:
Negative single-colour: minimum line thickness 0.15 mm.
Negative multi-colour: minimum line thickness 0.2 mm.
Positive single-colour: minimum line thickness 0.08 mm.
Positive multi-colour: minimum line thickness 0.15 mm is advisable.
EAN magnification:
according to the Customer’s requirements (GS1 recommendation: 80-200%).
Depending on the artwork, we recommend producing a hard colour proof.
For soft proofing, we can provide a profile on request (subject to the printing parameters being known). In the case of an RGB file, production will only be started after approval of a hard proof.
Overprint:
The printer will respect the overprint settings applied in the supplied file.
Where justified, the printer may recommend changes.
Trap:
0.15-0.20 mm, always prepared by the printer.
